Does it take you forever to create social media content? Many practitioners struggle to manage their business while still posting consistently to platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.

But the good news is there are some simple ways that you can make social media content creation easy and breezy!

Here are some of my favourite tips for making social media easy and effective.

Use scheduling apps

Social media scheduling apps have come a long way in the past couple of years. There are easy ways to schedule in your content – and most of them are cheap or even free!

When it comes to Instagram, Later is a great option for scheduling content. In fact, it’s what I use to schedule the Tech For Pracs Instagram content in advance!

The free version allows you to schedule up to 30 posts per month. It also shows you a preview of what your Instagram feed will look like, so you can make sure it looks good before you post it!

You can also choose whether the posts go up automatically or if you prefer to manually post them. If you go for the latter, it takes less than 20 seconds, and you can then add your own hashtags in the comments if you prefer to.

For Facebook scheduling, you can upgrade to a paid Later account (or any other scheduling app around). But if you’re on a budget, you can make the most of the scheduling tool built into your business page. Head to your page and click Publishing Tools. From there, you can schedule posts up to 6 months in advance.

Check your analytics

Did you know that your social media profile or page can tell you about your followers? Depending on the platform, you can find out when your followers are online, which types of content they interact with, and even how many people click on your links!

Spend a few minutes each week looking at what your Facebook or Instagram analytics are looking like. This can help you to focus on creating content that resonates with your followers.

Batch some content

Sitting down at your desk every Monday morning and posting content on the spot? There is a better way to create content, especially if you find yourself uninspired at the start of the week! The secret is to batch your content.

How does batching work?

  • You brainstorm out topics to create content around

  • You schedule some time – a couple of hours, a half-day or even a full day – to create all of that content at once

  • Once your content is batched, you schedule it all in

The great thing about batching content is that once it’s done, you don’t have to think about your social media! If you’ve scheduled it in, it will post up without you lifting a finger. Once you’ve got content scheduled, all you need to do is answer any comments or questions that your followers post on your posts!

The one downside is that you will need to do this on a semi-regular basis. Most people work best by batching 2-12 weeks of social media at one time. But at least it means that your content goes up consistently, and you can find something better to do on Monday mornings for a while!

Get some branded templates

One of the best ways to save yourself time and keep your social media consistently branded? It’s gotta be using branded templates.

Creating beautiful social media images shouldn’t be time-consuming and frustrating. You have better things to do than sitting in Canva or Photoshop trying to figure out how to make an image that looks good AND is consistent with your branding!

A great branded template will have your business colours and logo ready to go. All you need to do is pop in any writing or image that you need, download and schedule it in!

Sounds like what you need? I’ve got you covered. Grab your social media templates here.
